Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a wife and mother to 3. The kids keep me on my toes with their sports and activities, although now that they are teens, they are starting to drive themselves, which is a game changer! I love plants, gardening, and a good spreadsheet. My mornings feel incomplete if I don't have time to sit down, drink my coffee, read a book, and open my Bible. (Here are some of my favorite fiction books.)
And here's the exciting part of this page, my accounting background! I have a B.S. in Accounting and passed the CPA exam in 2004. I worked for seven years with a public accounting firm that specialized in Non-profit and Government audit. (I know, I know, super exciting!)
I started dabbling in online business back in 2012 with an Etsy shop then a podcast. I have also dabbled in Amazon selling and self-publishing along the way. You can find my books here.
No matter what entrepreneurial endeavors I have tackled through the years, I was never concerned about the tax and accounting side of things because of my background. However, I know that this is not the case for most small business owners. Many small business owners are scared or overwhelmed by the mere idea of bookkeeping.
